Photographing Rescues In Need

Over the last couple months I have been volunteering my free time to photograph rescue pups. I do this with the hopes that these images will help increase awareness and ultimately lead to helping these pups find forever homes. Last weekend I had the pleasure of meeting Lucas and Booth at a rescue event, organized by Heavenly Angels Animal Rescue, held at Pet Supplies Plus in Maspeth Queens. Lucas and Booth are awesome, well-behaved, sweet dogs that both need a place to call home. Brief details can be found below. If you know of anyone that might be able to help these pups out, please feel free to share this post or the contact information below.

Booth - White Bull Terrier Mix

Booth arrived at the rescue about 2 months ago, after being saved from a kill facility in rural Georgia. His body was red, scaly, and almost hairless from mange. Booth was given antibiotics and medicated baths and was cleared of the mange about 3 weeks ago. This rescue event was his first ever, since his immune system was compromise while on treatment, and he handled the event like a pro. Look how handsome he is now with his full coat! Booths gets along great with both dogs and cats, and just adores people.

Lucas - Black Padderdale Terrier Mix

Lucas has also been with the rescue for about 2 months after being saved from the same kill facility as Booth. He is a very charming, intelligent, and athletic little guy who gets along great with everyone he meets young, old, and in between. He has this affectionate way of looking at you with his one floppy ear that is hard to describe and haven't seen in many dogs, he is a really special little guy.

Both these wonderful pups are about 6 months old, wee wee pad trained, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. To contact Heavenly Angels Animal Rescue email harescue1@aol.com or haar13@aol.com.
